Happy Hair

"Good morning, good morning, it's great to say good morning.  Good morning, good morning to you."  Don't worry, I haven't completely lost my mind.  That's the song I sing to Baby Girl every morning as I'm walking into her room to get her out of her crib.  It's a sweet little tradition we have.

Onto this morning's happy hair....  I have three things for you.

1. Has everyone but me been to a Dry Bar?  It sure seems like it.  I long for the gorgeous blown out locks you can only get from a professional's magic touch.  The good news is Charleston is getting its first Tease Dry Bar on King Street.  The bad news is parking stinks downtown and I will probably rarely make it there because I live in the burbs.  Oh well.  I'm going for my first Dry Bar experience while I'm in NYC in a few weeks.  I can't wait!

2. According to the September 2012 issue of Glamour, you can achieve beautiful, at home, blown out hair with a few simple tricks.   First, add thickening spray to the roots of wet hair.  Then, blow-dry on medium heat until 80 percent dry.  Finally, turn it to high and dry with a nozzle against sections of hair pulled out with a 2 1/2 inch round brush.  Adir Abergel, stylist to Anne Hathaway (gorgeous hair, right?) says "blow-drying your hair is like riding a bike.  It's hard until you figure it out, but the minute it clicks, you'll have fabulous hair for the rest of your life."

3.  I've used all sorts of hair serums to achieve that shiny, healthy, movie star look.  I've come back to my absolute favorite, Biosilk Silk Therapy,  and I'm going to be loyal!  It's not cheap, but it's worth it!  I put a small amount in the palm of my hand, rub my hands together and finger it through my wet hair.  Blow dry and voila!  What are your favorite hair products?
