Yep, I'm one of those girls who went to the Thursday night premiere of the final Twilight movie, Breaking Dawn Part 2. It's not really about the movie for me. (I haven't loved these movies. I loved the books more than life itself, so naturally, the movies are a bit disappointing. Movies are just never as good as the books they're based on. I could go on and on ad nauseum, so I'll leave it at that.) It's more about the experience. Going late, waiting in line, everyone full of excitement and anticipation, etc, etc.
Here's the skinny. Don't worry, I'm not giving away any spoilers just in case you didn't read the books (which you really really really should, trust me). It was the best movie out of the series, in my opinion. I'm totally obsessed with Renesmee. They cast a beautiful little girl as her character and she was an integral part of the story. Kristen Stewart looked the prettiest I've ever seen her. Edward was his sappy, pale, romantic self. Jacob's focus finally shifts and he's much more likable. I'm obviously Team Edward.
My only complaint is that they totally changed the ending (as they always do in movies based on books). I didn't mind their version, but it was different, none the less. It's been years since I read the books so I couldn't remember all the details of the ending (I'm sure that's why I'm not ranting and raving about the differences between the two right now). Looks like I'm going to be re-reading the Twilight series! Who's with me?
