At Home Mani

I hope everyone had a stellar weekend!  Ours was nice and relaxing!  I came home Friday night from a 7 hr continuing education class to homemade pho duck noodle bowl from Mr. BMJ.
We had lazy pajama day on Saturday and an oyster roast Saturday night.  We had wine and apps at Sermet's before the roast and I ordered this delicious little number.  It's spectacular and pairs perfectly with their amazing artichoke torte.
Sunday was super relaxing.  This little ham has become obsessed with wearing butterfly wings.  It takes some major negotiating to give them up at bedtime.
I finished up the weekend by seeing "Mama" with a fun group of friends (official movie review coming tomorrow).

Like most of you, I love a good professional mani/pedi.  Ain't nothin better than sitting in a massage chair while someone rubs on your feet and makes them look purty and painted.  I don't always treat myself to a mani because they usually only last a few days and I feel like it's a waste of money.  I do, however, love the look of my fingernails painted.  It always makes me feel a little more put together.  So, I started painting them myself.  Moral of this long winded story is if you also paint your own nails, you need to get in your car RIGHT NOW and go to Ulta, Sephora, or wherever you can find a good selection of nail stuffs and get this:
Essie Good To Go!
I kid you not, after two coats of color and this topcoat, it takes approximately T minus 60 seconds to dry.   That's a MUST when you have a 2 yr old who doesn't understand the concept of wet nails.   It also helps prevent chipping and leaves a super shiny finish.
