March deadlines...

Here's a little quickie post to share my short and long term New Year's Goals/Resolutions.  I never do well with them and have always seen them as a bit cliche, BUT every year I get sucked in to setting goals to better myself because that's what you're supposed to do, right?
This year I'm making them specific, necessary, and achievable.  It's kind of like I'm at work writing my annual business plan.  Ugh.  Gag me with a pitchfork.
Here goes.

Short Term:

1.  Take down all Christmas decorations by Saturday....
2.  Clean out my closet, give away old/work clothes, and organize everything kept by our trip in March.  (I know that seems far away for such a basic task, but this thing has gotten out of control.  It's even too shameful to share a picture.)
3.  Organize the cabinet under my bathroom sink by March.
4.  Organize the kitchen food pantry by March.

Long Term:

1.  Dedicate at least 2 hours per day of complete undivided, unplugged attention to Baby Girl.  Mama has become a little too attached to her iPhone and MacBook.
2.  Exercise for at least 30 minutes 3x/week while Baby Girl is napping.  I'm busting out the Jane Fonda tapes!  Maybe I'll start slow and easy with a little "Sweatin To the Oldies."
Come back tomorrow for some seriously smart hair tips!

It's a chilly, rainy day here in the South.  Stay warm and dry out there friends!
p.s.  Can you believe Kim K is preggo with Kanye's baby?  Big news people, very big news!!!  I can't wait to follow the drama about the new Baby Mama!

  1. Great goals girl you can do it! I never make resolutions because I usually don't keep them. Just laughed at your Richard Simmons video- but seriously I do the Tracey Anderson dvds while Sterling naps they are amaze. Kim K preggo is cray cray. That girl is not smart but her and Kayne are perfect for each other they both love themselves more than each other!

  2. Oh I'm a huge fan of that Snoop Dogg joke. It's so hard to tell it without laughing. Speaking of laughing, I cracked up at gag me with a pitchfork. I definitely like the idea of having short and long term goals that you know are realistic. It's like a long term to do list. Don't let it intimidate you -- you've got this!

  3. Gag me with a pitchfork! Lol! I am in my bed w. a darn stomach bug (supposed to be with you right now)! My point-I cannot stop reading blogs even when I am sick! Ugh!

A toast to you for sharing your thoughts!
