The City of Love

One of the "Ask Me Anything" questions inspired this trip down memory lane.

EAS asked:  "Where is your favorite place to travel and how do you do it with a little one at home?"

Paris is absolutely #1 in my travel book.  It even tops NYC.  That's a bold statement coming from me.  I could go back to Paris every month and not tire of it (my bank account is another story).

Mr. BMJ and I went to Paris in October 2011 when Baby Girl was just a year old.  My gracious mom and cousin came to watch her for the 5 days we were gone.  They have since made it an annual trip to watch her during our yearly travels.  I'm super lucky, I know!

Here are some highlights of our trip:

Oh Paris, how I love you.  Your food, scenery, shopping, beauty, food, wine, language, and food are the stuff dreams are made of.  Until next time....

p.s.  Why do I drink Baby Mama Juice?  I'm not sure I'll make it to 5 to pour my first glass tonight.  It's day 2 of potty training and it sucks.  Really bad.  Baby Girl cries every single time she sits on the potty. She hasn't gone a single time for me today.  She had a huge accident at 8:45 am and nothing since.  I even moved the potty in front of the TV to help.  I have M&Ms, a prize box, special panties, and every other trick in the book.  She just doesn't want to sit on the potty.  I'm desperate.  I think we would both be content if she wore diapers for the rest of her life.

  1. 1 M & M per tinkle worked like a charm when I helped potty train as a nanny :)

  2. Ugh. My daughter pooped in her pants for like 5 months in a row. I am no help in this area.

Love your pics of Paris! You are so lucky to have your Mom come stay with baby girl! Thanks for sharing.

  3. Paris...maybe one day. I tried every thing in the handy dandy manuals too regarding potty training. It did not happen until N was ready for it to happen. Then, he went like a charm with no accidents. Good luck.

  5. Ohhhh so that's why I saw the M&MS in her bathroom. I was so confused, but hey, I don't judge chocolate being in any room. Hide those before 4:45 please. Haha. The garden of that hotel looks gorgeous. I'm a sucker for purple flowers.
