NYFW Part 2

Ready for NYFW Part 2?!

Before we complete this amazing, fairytale story, let me share the back story of how we were able to have this amazing experience.  It's all spelled out in the Bucket List post I wrote last Spring.

We left off yesterday with the fact that we were invited to a private party at Carmen Marc Valvo's residence overlooking Central Park West.

Wow!

We took in the gorgeous view, decor, and fabulous guests.  What an experience!

I wore my Clover Canyon dress from Hampden Clothing.  It was perfect!

Dress:  Clover Canyon
Shoes:  old, similar here
Bag:  Tory Burch

After the party, we headed to the Flatiron district to Manzanilla to eat delicious Spanish tapas.  We loved everything we ordered and want to recreate the branzino with dipping sauces at home!

Saturday was filled with shopping, walking, and eating.

I was comfy in my Sam Edelman flats and Ann Taylor duds.

Lunch was at ABC Kitchen.  The restaurant is rustic and hip and serves delicious, original, organic, locally grown food.

We perused the famous ABC Carpet and Home Store for hours afterwards.  It was interior design heaven!  There is some serious rug porn going on up in there!

While walking back to our hotel (all 41 blocks), I received a call from a friend of a friend with major fashion connections.  He invited us to an after runway party in the Meatpacking District.  He said that Karl Lagerfeld was expected to be in attendance.  Eeeeek!  After much discussion, Mr. BMJ and I decided it wasn't going to work out due to our dinner reservations and lack of appropriate attire.  Maybe next year, Karl?!

To soften the blow of our decision, we stopped in the official shopping mecca of Bergdorf Goodman and had a little snack in the restaurant on the top floor after drooling over all of the eye candy in the store.  Did you know they have a champagne bar and restaurant?

Thank heavens dinner didn't disappoint since we didn't make it to the party.  We ate in Midtown at Harlow, a new, funky seafood restaurant.  We had amazing ceviche and truffle lobster mac and cheese, just to name a few.

I was a bad, tired blogger and forgot to take a picture of my outfit.  It was just a spare that I threw in my bag at the last minute.  I'm so glad I did!  Next time I'm going to pack for every possible scenario.

So, that's the short story long.  This NYFW thing could become very addictive.  My weekend as a celebrity is over and it's been a struggle to adapt to real life!

p.s.  Why do I drink Baby Mama Juice?  Because I obviously didn't get to see all my girls: Rachel, Victoria,  Olivia, Hoda, or Gwyneth or I would have bragged told you all about it.  Maybe next year....

  1. Sounds like you had an amazing trip with many memories that will play in a loop in your brain for quite some time. Who would have thought, sitting and talking around The Dupe table, that your life would have included such an amazing NYC trip! Do you remember those pictures we purchased on our last trip together to NYC? So incredibly happy for you.

  7. So amazing that you got this trip at an auction! Looks like a blast. I go to NYC for the first time in December...it's no NYFW, but I'm excited to see all the Christmas displays and the HUGE tree.
