New Series: Style Spotting

Have you ever met or seen someone and thought, "Wow, I love that outfit and have to have it NOW!"?

I do it all the time.  It happened just this morning at The Little Gym of all places.

This oh-so-stylish mama and baby inspired this new series of mine called "Style Spotting."

Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture of these lovelies this morning.  I promise, from here on out, I will do my best to capture the inspiration.

I did ask where her adorable mini-me's outfit came from.  Check it out below.  I'm sure you can picture how precious this 11 month old baby girl looked in these duds.   I'm thinking my Baby Girl should rock them too!

Baby mama was looking so effortless in her casual chic outfit.  I didn't ask where her pieces came from, but I did confirm that her shoes were the Dolce Vitas I've been coveting.  This is a very close approximation of what she was wearing.

The sweatshirt was flattering, comfy, and classy.

The jeans were ripped and so cute.  I've been toying with the idea of purchasing some, but don't want to spend a fortune in case I'm too chicken to wear them and/or the trend is fleeting.  I found at Target that won't break the bank.

If you follow me on Instagram, you know I'm a huge lover of Christina Jervey jewelry.  She lives in Mt. Pleasant and handcrafts all of her gorgeous, original pieces.  I had the pleasure of going to her workshop and saw this piece in person.  It's to die for.

p.s.  Why do I drink Baby Mama Juice?  Because I'm still pooped from this weekend.  Friday night's festivities were fun and I had a great girls' night. I met a fun new friend!  It rained on our family photo shoot Saturday morning, and more importantly, my hair.  I guess we'll only be using the kid pictures.  The baby shower brunch was great and I met even more new friends.  We had a kid birthday party last night at Menchie's.  It was screaming, running, ice cream eating madness.  How was your weekend?

  1. Love this post topic. Can't wait to see what you spot next. I'm definitely to chicken to try ripped jeans but the Mossimo ones are a great test pair!

  2. I bought a pair of the distressed denim last year. I wore them so much the holes became too large and I had to throw them away! I guess I could have patched them but I thought that would look way too hillbilly. :-)

  3. EEEK Why are weekends just so busy?! Sounds like you had an amazing one. Call me the constant babysitter, but running after little kids brings back so many memories, kind of nostalgia.

    P.S. Finished Breaking Bad . . . NOW what do I watch?!

  4. I always see girls wearing cute outfits out and debate whether to ask them where they're from. I don't want to seem desperate but I really want to know where they got their cute outfit from so I can look cute too! I love those Dolce Vita shoes and tried on a similar pair at TJ Maxx awhile back but said nope not gonna get them. I'm going to wait and order the real pair I want. Definitely get the cheaper version of ripped jeans since they'll only be in style for a short time!

  6. Does that Zara sweater come in adult sizes?? It's too freaking cute!

Glad you had a great weekend! It's so hard to meet new friends so I'm jealous of your double whammy!
