A Love Story On Valentine's Day

Hi friends!  I'm back!  Did you think I decided to stay in NYC?  I did, actually, but my family wouldn't move up there with me.  So mean....

I hated being away from my blog for so long, but I was so sick and just couldn't compose anything.  I won't bore you with the details, but I'm sure you can sympathize with having a severe kidney infection that wouldn't go away, kidney stones, and an allergic reaction to antibiotics.  On top of all of that goodness, we had another ice storm and school has been canceled for days.  That means no free time for this sick mama!

Thankfully, I'm feeling much better just in time for this holiday of love.

I thought it would be a perfect time to answer Natalie and Nat's "Ask Me Anything" question about how I met my Mr. BMJ.  A little love story for Valentine's Day.

I left my job as a Speech Therapist/Writer/Editor at a publishing company in Greenville to become a Pharmaceutical Sales Rep in Charleston in January 2004.

I originally sold Prevacid for reflux.  Mr. BMJ was one of my customers.  He was married when we met and I was in a relationship so I never, in a million years, thought that we would end up together.

Years passed, life happened, Mr. BMJ got divorced, and I was in a relationship headed to nowheresville.

I moved up in my company to a specialty position and mainly called on Gastroenterologists.  That just happens to be Mr. BMJ's specialty.  Oooooh the scandal.  His office was my favorite.  We became friends.  He was my handsome, quiet, mysterious customer that I was starting to have a crush on.

My friend, Sonya, took his office out for a business dinner one night and she told him about my crush.  We haven't missed a day without talking since that night.

We got engaged at our special place, the Pitt Street bridge in July 2008.  We were married at the Daniel Island Club on March 20, 2009.

Thanks for being such a wonderful husband and valentine Mr. BMJ.

I have a surprise Valentine's Day celebration planned for tonight.  I hope he likes it!

I'll be back next week with details from another amazing NY Fashion Week experience!

p.s.  Why do I drink Baby Mama Juice?  Because this is the second version of this post today.  The first version was ready much earlier, but was lost in cyberspace somehow.  Ugh.  What a waste!
