NYFW 2014 Recap

Here it is!

The NYFW 2014 recap post.

I'm forewarning you that I'm not sparing any feelings here and acting like it wasn't an amazingly wonderful time.  You may feel jealousy and hate towards me.   I apologize.  You'll get over it.

What an amazingly wonderful time we had!

My bestie cousin, Jules, went with me this time.  She had never been to NYC so I was able to blow her mind with the Fashion Week experience and all the wonders of my favorite city.

To be invited back to Carmen Marc Valvo's show was such an honor and privilege.  I was rendered speechless with the perfection of his show.  I would truly wear every single creation that walked down his runway.  He is a brilliant designer who creates current, classy, feminine, and flattering pieces year after year.

It was freezing cold in NYC this trip.  There was ice and slush and yuck on the streets.  We didn't let that stop us for a second, though.  We donned our cold weather gear and had a blast.  Here are a few thousand pictures that gives an insight into our fabulous adventure.

Getting fresh pre-show blow outs at Dream Dry.

We made it!
Love you mean it, Rachel Zoe!
What a gentleman.

The Countess
Katie Couric
Front row fame including Vanessa Williams and the ladies from "Orange Is The New Black."
More front row fame with a "House of Cards" actress and Sherri Shepherd.

Peeking into the gorgeous Peninsula Hotel.  I want to stay here!!!
Trying on nude lipsticks at Sephora.  We were there for over 2 hours.
We spent all our money on Hourglass products!
No trip to NYC would be complete without a visit to Bergdorf Goodman.

A new discovery.  What a lovely hotel on Madison Avenue.  Their potties are nice too! ;)
We stumbled on an old favorite, The Campbell Apt in Grand Central Station, and had to go in for a "snack."
Until next time, my love....

p.s.  Why do I drink Baby Mama Juice?  Because my sweet Baby Girl is finally wearing big girl panties and having dry days.  I knew her time would come and I'm so proud.

  1. Your trip looks like so much fun! Yay for your little girl, exciting news!

  2. Cracking UP at the nude lipsticks! I just bought si of them myself. Only it was at Target. So you know... Fashion week... Groceries and Target trip. Whatever. Girls need their nudes!!! LOVED the blouse and you looked awesome in those pants!

  3. Love love love your hair in the blow dry salon pic (the 2nd one). So pretty. The blowing a kiss to Rachel Zoe is just great. Oh NYC. You are wonderful.

  4. What another awesome trip! You know I've never been to NYC so maybe you need to take me next time! Your hair looked great! But I wouldn't expect anything less from Ms. Zoe!

  5. You're making me miss NYC!! I lived there for 18 months before I moved back to Chicago, got married and had kids. It was the hardest 18 months of my life but I loved it too. Looks like you had an amazing time! I love your red Hunter boots and your cousin Jules looks like a blast. :-)

  6. You look amazing! Loved seeing your paparazzi pics ha. What a fun time - third time will be the charm I bet! Walking the runway perhaps?

  7. Looks like an amazing trip!! NYFW is always amazing. I'm hoping to make it to NYC this spring... once it's warmer there. It's one of my favorite cities.

A toast to you for sharing your thoughts!
