The Detoxification Begins

Hello my friends!

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend!

The highlight of Baby Girl's weekend was getting a unicorn painted on her face and collecting as many cheap, plastic, free toys at the Homegrown Festival as possible!  It was about a thousand degrees outside so please excuse her sweaty head!

It rained so much here that I had a perfect excuse to stay in my jammies all day Sunday.  It had nothing to do with being exhausted and hung over from the Hootie and the Blowfish Concert on Saturday night.  What a good time!

I started my cleanse on Sunday which was so ridiculously hard since I felt like crap after drinking 6 beers at the concert (beer drinking is a hidden talent of mine, but that's for another post).

All I wanted was a Poe's pimento cheeseburger and fries to soak up all that alcohol but nope.  Sardines, chicken, beans, and brown rice it was!  Ugh.

Today is going a little better.  I'm actually struggling the most right now.  This is my "me time"/ "lunch hour" when I write my blog, drink my hot tea, eat a snack, and have General Hospital playing in the background while Baby Girl naps.

I usually eat a little something sinful right about now.  I'm craving it sooooo badly but instead I ate half a peach and a handful of walnuts.  Womp womp.  At least I can still indulge in my green tea!

I'm feeling this cleanse physically.  I'm tired, achey, and cold.  They say it's your body detoxing from all the crappy food.  I believe it. It actually feels a lot like a lupus flare....

Instagram is slowly but surely killing me.  Do you know how good those lobster rolls (Christina) look?  Yesterday was National S'mores Day.  Torture I tell you!!!

Only 5 more days to go!

If you're joining me on this cleanse journey, how's it going?

p.s.  Why do I drink Baby Mama Juice?  Because my Nordstrom Anniversary sale items finally made their way to my doorstep and I'm obsessed!  Baby Girl got this faux fur vest and is refusing to take it off! (It runs a little small.  I ordered her a size 5 and it's perfect with room to grow.)

This leather dress is perfection.  Truly. It's an early birthday present and I can't wait to wear it in NYC for Fashion Week (if I can wait that long).  It's the perfect fit, so flattering, and so comfortable.  (It runs a little large.  I ordered an XS.)

  4. I give you so much credit for doing the cleanse, especially after Saturday night. I ate my weight in sausage and bacon yesterday to try and soak up all the alcohol from the night before.

  12. Can you adopt me so I can have ridiculously cute faux leopard fur vests on a daily basis like your sweet baby girl. I love that leather dress! I am getting that itch for cooler temps and Fall weather which will be here in like 6 months in Florida but I can dream right?
