It's Alive!

Or rather, I'm alive!

Just in case there were any doubts out there since it's been nearly a decade since I've been to this little blog.

We've been busy.  Good and busy.  Here is a quick flashback of the happenings over the past 2 weeks!

Friendsgiving, Clemson Game, Girls' Trip to Asheville, Christmas Party, and Caycee's Birthday Extravaganza

We attended a fancy schmancy Annual Christmas Cocktail Party on Friday night.  I swear it's like a fashion show every year, and I always feel like I have to have something new and fabulous so I don't disappoint! I was going to wear a lovely dress that already lives in my closet, but the nail on my big toe fell off in Asheville (it's been messed up since August) and I had to change my shoe plan.  Nobody wants to see that mess in open toe shoes!

I spotted this little number in Asheville at the Lilly Pulitzer store and it was love at first sight!  I knew that it would be perfect with my gold pumps.  It was basically a medical necessity.  I wonder if insurance would reimburse me for the dress?!

Make sure to order 1-2 sizes up because it runs very small!  The saleslady is a 6 and bought a 10.  I'm a 2 or 4 and bought a 6.

I paired it with my amazing Brian Atwood gold heels that I bought on sale for $69 dollars last year.  I know, don't hate me.  And my favorite Kendra Scott gray stone earrings!

p.s.  Why do I drink Baby Mama Juice?  Because I fell in love with the sweetest 2 year old long haired Dachshund puppy at the rescue/adoption event this weekend.  I left her with tears in my eyes and can't stop thinking about her.  I contacted Palmetto Paws and they adopted her out which is great news for her.  Not so much for me.  Baby Girl was smitten too.  Look at this precious baby.

  3. OOH! that dress. you're on fire! i like that you paired it with simple (but very pretty!) shoes and earrings. very classy. the friendsgiving picture is great. i'd like to think that all dresses are medical necessities. you know, for sanity purposes. they're basically my prozac.
